    Job Description

    Job Description Summary

The Quality Leader for GSC Materials Management is responsible for leading quality strategy, execution, and continuous
improvement across Materials Management Value Streams within factories and repair shops, with a primary emphasis on
warehousing operations. This role serves as the quality focal point for ensuring material handling, storage, movement,
accuracy, compliance, and process execution meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
The role provides people leadership supporting materials management and is accountable for deploying and sustaining
the Built In Quality (BIQ) and Zero Defect Framework across warehousing and related material flow processes. The
Quality Leader will lead nonconformance response and resolution activities, including NCR investigations, structured
problem solving, Corrective Action and Preventive Action processes, and the use of CIMs, RCAs, and PSRs to eliminate
    recurrence and improve process capability.
This position requires strong cross-functional leadership, operational quality expertise, and the ability to drive
disciplined execution across supply chain, operations, repair, engineering, and shop teams.

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    Quality Leadership and Strategy

    - Lead quality performance for GSC Materials Management across value streams supporting factories and repair shops.
    - Develop and execute the quality strategy for warehousing and materials management processes aligned to business
goals, customer expectations, and operational priorities.
    - Serve as the primary quality leader for material storage, handling, preservation, identification, traceability,
inventory transactions, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and internal material movement.
    - Partner with site and functional leadership to establish a proactive quality culture within warehousing and
    materials operations.
    - Provide direct people leadership, coaching, development, and performance management for assigned quality team
    members.

    BIQ and Zero Defect Deployment

    - Lead deployment, integration, and sustainment of Built In Quality (BIQ) principles across materials management and
    warehousing operations.
    - Drive implementation of the Zero Defect Framework to prevent defects, transaction errors, process escapes, and
    material nonconformances.
    - Ensure quality controls are embedded at the point of activity rather than relying solely on downstream inspection.
    - Define, standardize, and monitor process control methods, quality gates, layered process checks, and error-proofing
    mechanisms within warehouse processes.
    - Champion prevention-based quality practices through standard work, visual management, leader standard work, and
    process discipline.

    Nonconformance Management and Problem Solving

    - Lead NCR investigations related to materials management, warehousing, factory support, and repair shop operations.
    - Own and facilitate structured problem-solving activities for quality issues, including CIMs, root cause analyses,
    and PSRs.
    - Ensure containment, correction, root cause identification, corrective action, and preventive action are robust,
    timely, and effective.
    - Drive closure discipline for nonconformances and ensure actions are validated for effectiveness and sustained over
    time.
    - Escalate significant risks, recurring issues, and systemic process failures to leadership with clear recommendations
    and recovery plans.
    - Analyze trends in defects, inventory discrepancies, material damage, labeling issues, transaction errors, and
process escapes to identify systemic improvement opportunities.

    Operational Quality and Compliance

    - Ensure warehousing and materials management processes comply with internal quality standards, business procedures,
customer requirements, and applicable regulatory or industry requirements.
    - Support audits, process reviews, and compliance assessments related to materials management and warehouse quality
    systems.
    - Verify effective control of nonconforming material, segregation practices, disposition controls, and traceability
    requirements.
    - Oversee process adherence for receiving inspection interfaces, material preservation, shelf-life management where
applicable, storage conditions, and material identification accuracy.
    - Collaborate with operations, logistics, sourcing, and repair teams to ensure material quality risks are addressed
    across the value stream.

    Continuous Improvement

    - Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, process capability, inventory accuracy,
warehouse process compliance, and customer satisfaction.
    - Use quality data, operational metrics, and trend analysis to prioritize improvement actions and resource deployment.
    - Drive standardization and simplification of warehouse quality processes across factories and repair shops where
    appropriate.
    - Promote Lean, problem-solving, and quality improvement methodologies to reduce waste, improve process robustness,
    and improve first-time quality.
    - Share lessons learned, best practices, and preventive actions across value streams and sites.

    Required Qualifications

    - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, Materials Management, or a related field.
    - Significant experience in quality, supply chain quality, manufacturing quality, materials management, or warehouse
